Re: Auto-start + spectators chat + many little things (May 8th update)

We identified 2 issues on auto-start: When playing with friends, if they accept too quickly you have no time to change the options. When refusing a game, the lobby is freezing. The 2 issues above has been fixed now. The freeze keeps happening - just not on the tab that was used to start the game. I...

Re: Clue 4

If it is the Beginning of the game. I will clue 4's as a 'stall'. To give my teammate I chance to clue me before I start discarding. ( Assuming my teammate has no playable card.) And a 4 is disposable in the early rounds. Hm... so you clue 4 to stall discarding, and you expect the other person to d...

Re: Clue 4

I've heard about convention of marking 4 to discard. But it can also be selffinesse... that depends on how much you trust your partner. Having 1234 in starting hand is rare, but not impossible. It can also mean that partner doesn't like empty clues and your hand is only 4 and 3s, but 3s include a tw...

Re: what are the preset deck of the day

every day there are 5 random arranged decks and that they are fixed for 24 hours and then randomly generated again... Is that so? Yes. it doesn't make a lot of sense to use them in turn based games that extend for weeks, right? I can't speak much for turnbased games, but - why not? We mainly use pr...

Re: Santorini in Alpha now

Hi, first of all - great implementation, congrats and thank you! Feels really like the game in reality :) In my two games for now, I haven't seen anything odd strictly game-related, and the interface is clear and intuitive. Though, I noticed that unlike in normal games, the chat window doesn't expan...

Re: So many bad players lately

Can anything be done about it? -> How about you teach them, before playing, then? This site is also for learning games. And learning an interface can take a while (although I admit Hanabi is among the most intuitive interfaces among games I tried here). If there is 'this is my first game' warning th...

Re: How is ELO scored in Hanabi?

If you are playing training mode, you get zero elo points. If you are a Master playing 3p games, sometimes the fraction of elo points received is so small that it is seen rounded as +0 points (also in case if the if you get some minus small points in non-max score). It can be rarely seen in high elo...

Re: Decoding Mastermind

Interesting article, I think it's more like introducing the game (and the thinking required) for people not knowing it. I got a bit thrown off by the intro as Mastermind I have in family house include 5-slot code and there is no rule about "no color repeats" and "no blanks"[which actually just adds ...
