Abandoned implementations

Is there a procedure at BGA for games to be taken over by new maintainers? I'm trying to play one game at the moment that has a drastic visual problem that appears to be easy to fix. The problem is that the maintainer hasn't been active on BGA for over a year, and so I assume hasn't seen the bug rep...
