Is there a procedure at BGA for games to be taken over by new maintainers? I'm trying to play one game at the moment that has a drastic visual problem that appears to be easy to fix. The problem is that the maintainer hasn't been active on BGA for over a year, and so I assume hasn't seen the bug reports.
As an OSS maintainer myself, I think that's completely understandable - folks should be able to contribute as much as they want and are able and no more.
As a subscriber to BGA, I'd like the games to actually work when the box is opened though, and I think a part of that needs to include some kind of maintenance of the games if their original developer moves on. Also understandable that the limited team at BGA itself can't take that on.
If there were some process for passing the reins of a game implementation to a new volunteer, that would solve all the problems, I think.
