Working on the Avalanche

Had hoped to get the full set of expansions out for K2, but didn't get any response from the publisher when I reached out for digital assets sadly. All said, only took me 30 mins to wrangle some tiles images for the Avalanche expansion, so I'm aiming to get that into the product in the coming weeks....

Re: How to commit bugfixes when not an administrator

Ended up getting "fixed" by becoming an administrator - the read/write just wasn't showing ANYTHING in the logs.

Mind you, the "K2" module is still a non-standard name, so that might have been part of the pipeline not working.

Full overhaul is now live

I got access to the code last week, and after much code crafting I'm happy to say K2 is FULLY overhauled: * Winter weather tiles are now available * All known bugs fixed (display issues, inability to revert rest cards, confusing logs) * Some menu improvements This should now be a fully polished impl...

Re: Winter weather tiles at BGA?

Winter tiles have now been added!

The Easy / Hard sides of the board have been moved into their own option now, so you can pick weather and difficulty independantly.

Re: How to commit bugfixes when not an administrator

The following could be of interest to you: https://studio.boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=47340 In short: committing a new SVN revision needs you to create the folder "k2/modules". Thanks for that - gave it a go (as I didn't have a modules directory; it's quite an old pr...

Re: How to commit bugfixes when not an administrator

Bonus question: can I mark a bug as "recreated by developers" if I have read/write access? Or does this hinge on being an admin as well?

(do I just need to request admin access from BGA to get these fixes in essentially?! Not quite sure what Read/Write access can do at this point)

Re: IDE - Eclise or VS Code

I'm using neovim for what it's worth - I say go with the IDE what you're most comfortable with!

How to commit bugfixes when not an administrator

I've fixed up one of the bugs on the K2 game, which I have Read/Write (but no administrator) access to. I'm trying to see if I can in someway write this bugfix, currently uploaded to my SFTP share, into the main source code? And/or publish it? Not quite sure where the boundary of Read/Write only per...

Patterns for high interaction games

Was curious about existing interaction patterns that people might have used in BGA implementations of games where there are a lot of "reaction" opporunities. Let me present an example. A two-player card game where on your turn you play up to three cards, one at a time, and interact with th...
