Re: Why is the production phase in asynchronous steps?

I think it is because of the rewards that you get when producing the most of a particular ressource.
The majorities in each production step might change during the round (because of builds during previous steps).

Re: young forest spirit

Someone else or yourself ned to discard a purple card because of the Leviathan effect.
I once stumbled myself over this or a similiar situation.

Re: young forest spirit

Does Leviathan have an immediate effect that cannot be executed in your situation?

Yeah!
My favorite of the Project GIPF series.

It's very nice that it was eventually released today, after a long time in beta.

Re: GIPF is now in Beta

I would vote for TZAAR next.

BTW, the game series is named "Project GIPF", consisting of GIPF, TZAAR, ZÈRTZ, DVONN, PUNCT, YINSH, LYNGK, MATRX GIPF.

Re: My "Trapezoid" Opening Theory

I get told the opposite. I was told the strongest players play the Edge, and that I am the weirdo here. I'm playing YINSH with the "Olympic rings"-opening (that's my name for it ;) ) since 2003/2004 and won the YINSH Tournament 2005 in Cannes and the YINSH World Championship Tournament 20...

Re: Fake 50/50s and the "luck" of Tag Team

If you then put a card that punishes an attack in slot 3 in future turns, you have GUARANTEED value regardless of if they move their attack or keep it in slot 3. Essentially by not gambling on a 50/50 with an attack that doesn't fully matter early game, you have set yourself up for success later in...

Re: My "Trapezoid" Opening Theory

Yes, online play happened at Brettspieltwelt these days and playing on the edge was most popular.
I found it boring and therefore started to play from the center, because it created more dynamic games.
