Are you sure? My experience is, that the percentage of progress seams to be strictly governed by rounds passed.

Rematch without switching sides and auto lose

I learned through experience, that the rematch button does not automatically switch the player sides. Instead the sides are governed by the settings of the previews game, randomly or with fixed sides the setup stays identical. Does anybody know, why this behavior was implemented?
