Rematch without switching sides and auto lose

Post by Rumpelelf »

I learned through experience, that the rematch button does not automatically switch the player sides. Instead the sides are governed by the settings of the previews game, randomly or with fixed sides the setup stays identical.

Does anybody know, why this behavior was implemented?

Secondly, sometimes one sided gets wiped out early, that is, loses all supply flags. This renders this side absolutely useless. But the system does not declare an auto victory and does not allow conceding if not 50 % of the game are past. Which leads to some humiliating pass button pushing.

Can’t be done nothing to smoothen the experience?

That's odd.

A rematch offer is supposed to keep the game setting the game, but switch who went first.
But, if one of the game settings itself is a setting that determines who goes first, that created a conflict.

For the second point, is you have not many pieces remaining or too much not controlled regions, game will go to 51%, so you can concede.

Are you sure? My experience is, that the percentage of progress seams to be strictly governed by rounds passed.
