I think this is a very bad idea for anything other than 2-player games. I try very hard to be a friendly player who doesn't get thumbed that often, but every once in a blue moon, my internet connection drops or somebody doesn't like that I made a move than hurt their position. The game is greatly enhanced by the doubling cube. Without a cube, games become a somewhat tiresome march to the finish. In conjunction with this, multi-point matches (e.g. 3 or 5) would be a great addition.

My issue with the ELO system, as implemented here, is the wide variance in ratings. In one game I've gone from over 1700 to the 1400s in 3 days. I went from being in the top 10 to being below average. No worries, I'm not here for ELO points, but it's clear that I didn't become a novice in 3 days. If...
