Players quitting by taking the whole deck

Twice, I've been the victim of a player that was disappointed by the way the game was turning out, so they just take the entire deck, one card at a time, and then leave. Obviously this is very disappointing to the players who were trying to play out the game. Unfortunately, this seems to not be a re...

Re: No thanks? Yes, of course!

It looks like there is an unfortunate gameplay allowed here. Someone who gambles, and then misses out on the card they want, can simply take the rest of the deck and end the game. I downvote the offender, of course. But there is no way to report someone who simply takes a dive because they don't lik...

Re: Red thumb evolution (step 1)

I think this is a very bad idea for anything other than 2-player games. I try very hard to be a friendly player who doesn't get thumbed that often, but every once in a blue moon, my internet connection drops or somebody doesn't like that I made a move than hurt their position. I receive a red thumb....

Re: ... on next Thursday on Board Game Arena ...

At one time, this was on the front page of US online game retailer Boulder Games, which is no longer in business.

Now, where *they* got the image, I have no idea. :D

Backgammon: don't allow concede on opponent's turn

The games here last much longer than in face to face games. More people will want to play out a lost position rather than concede, which is customary. What happens is that near the end of the game, if one player rolls big doubles, the opponent will often concede while the move is in progress. This c...

Re: Backgammon

Thanks very much for adding this classic game.

The game is greatly enhanced by the doubling cube. Without a cube, games become a somewhat tiresome march to the finish. In conjunction with this, multi-point matches (e.g. 3 or 5) would be a great addition.

Re: ELO SYSTEM

My issue with the ELO system, as implemented here, is the wide variance in ratings. In one game I've gone from over 1700 to the 1400s in 3 days. I went from being in the top 10 to being below average. No worries, I'm not here for ELO points, but it's clear that I didn't become a novice in 3 days. If...

Re: Soon on BGA...

Knizia does not allow free implementations of his games. He has forced other sites to take down his games.

Ricochet Robots?

(Not a favorite of mine. Roborally would be great, but maybe Hasbro would not allow it)
