I prefer Side B because it makes the dragonfly more viable, the turtle way less strong because people will be more likely to contest water, and also the map is bigger so more spaces to build stuff (which I enjoy). That said, I love both sides.

BGA doesn't implement house rules so if that's not in the rulebook, there is no reason for them to add that.

(That said, I agree that it can be kinda frustrating to really want certain colours or more useful trick cards and they just don't show up.)
