Re: A Tedious Plague

I personally think the "Tedious Plague" is people trying to rush people cause they don't play at their pace and then using the clock to "Bully" people. I get what you are saying about it setting up "fast" set up and people do need to be aware before entering but all gam...

Seeing players ratings

I suggestion for BGA. It would be nice if, before you click join to join a table, you could see the players ELO and Karma ratings. The easiest would would be when you make the pointer go over their username. This would be a much nicer way of deciding who to play then clicking on join only to have to...

Re: Cheating

And how is cheating in any way ? Would a chess player say the other is cheating if he lose over time, even if he had a better position ?? That's just the rules of the game you accepted to play. Try other format if this one does not suit you. How is it not cheating? If you go "I can't win this ...

Re: Cheating

What could be done about different time zones in your opinion? There's the option to set a playing day-time for a tournament. That's up to the tournament creator and it's the participants duty to check if that fits for them before they enter. When no daytime is set then you should only join tournam...

Re: Cheating

Usually, that's called bad sportsmanship or being rude. Cheating is more related to not following the rules. Again I refer to the dictionary definition "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage" Not sure why you take this definitition. The very first definition i can find...

Re: Cheating

Well but i don't think it's unfairly according to BGA Rules. The player followed the rules. The time rule is intended to prevent people that take too much time to play. But what I think is that is a bad aattitude, and that's different from cheating. Another thing is that the other player can report...

Re: Cheating

If you go "I can't win this game properly so I will wait until times runs out and win by default" that is straight up cheating. It's straight up NOT cheating. The dictionary defines cheating as "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage". That is exactly what is ...

BGA - Get your act together.

So I was the last one left playing in tournament match of 4 people and yet I was one of two eliminated. It wasn't because of the clock as that didn't happen in another game in the same tournament. So do we now randomly pick who gets eliminated now? Who are the dumbarses at BGA who who write this cra...
