I agree with the earlier sentiment that a running total might take away from the excitement this game provides.

Check out the French rulebook. It contains the scoring table that the English rules are missing. Clarifies a lot.

it seems the stars are to show who won the row or column and each star is worth one point.

Where is the combination table to rules are referring to? Feels like we're missing the backside of the rulebook?
