Re: Your personal bonus card tiers

Interesting that no one has really mentioned to extent the bonus cards tie in with the various possible round end goals in the game. Going just for bonus cards purely based on their own probability and not looking at round end goals is half the battle lost, against an opponent who had picked a bonus...

Re: Does your good/bad luck also comes in streaks?

This game is not chess, there's RNG in it. So of course you would have periods of ups and downs. Rather than focusing on "I'm in a bad streak" "of course every game now my opponent starts with crow in hand" and then start spiraling, focus more on not being on tilt and causing you...

Re: Not loving the 3 player model in the arena, opinions?

A lot of people won't argue just for a quiet life. That -BGA Wingspan gurus at the bottom isn't a signature. It's the missing list item mentioned in the paragraph above. Exact same argument for if some of us actually bother to put up a few threads, it's something worth the pain of posting and argui...

Re: Not loving the 3 player model in the arena, opinions?

Honestly telling others to go spam games in order to become "Guru" in order to replace you and make decisions about arena format, just speaks of tone-deaf the current "Gurus" are towards the issues raised. You don't see as much threads and posts on the forum asking for a 3 player...

Re: Not loving the 3 player model in the arena, opinions?

Why 3p again? Three players was a good experiment, but the number of games shows that 3p was much less popular - 91,000 games compared to 222,000 last season. Even if you consider that 2p is played one and a half times faster than 3p, the difference is still very big. Because the players who love t...

Re: Not loving the 3 player model in the arena, opinions?

Player 1's already strong advantage (8 cards to pick from and you get to go both first and last) is now arguably even worse, since you get the starting advantage, and then you're the only player who gets first dibs on a new tray of cards twice. If you're 2nd player, it is even worse than going last...

Re: “Theoretically perfect game” challenge

In the theoratical perfect RNG game, the pick Gizmos have better economy than Build Gizmos, since they return 1 extra gizmo, and you don't need to care about availability and randomness of the pick, since perfect RNG. The 2 VP omnis is a must for high score, and the last 2 tier 3 cards will definite...

Re: “Theoretically perfect game” challenge

I spent way too much time on this but it was actually quite fun: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Pen25xQS1wq38AyBPnpAiUeqh_EWwqmGR4IMs8rbGWI/edit#gid=0 As mentioned in the sheet, my key self-imposed restriction is to build EVERY turn if we can (have any energy). Repeatedly picking to build ...
