Not sure how to word this. Not long ago, there was a different lobby page. Each lobby had a unique url, which could be used to invite people you weren't friends with on BGA. BGA has an Esperanto option, allowing players to identify others that may speak the language. Seconding this. 6nimmt is one of my favorite games, but this game is very very long by default.
