Re: B Side vs. A Side

Another reason for the higher top ratings in Arena this season could be as simple as people, in general, having less experience with side B. Top players can adapt better and faster, resulting in bigger edge than in more familiar side A format. Back in the day when Harmonies was newer game in BGA, I ...

Re: Is there full animal card list?

loungelizard24 wrote: 04 March 2026, 04:18 But if you want to see all the pictures you should watch an unboxing of harmonies and pause on each animal card to take screenshots. Or you could always buy the game.
You can also rush bunch of solo games and screen shot every animal that way. That's how I got my animal list :)

Re: How to turn on Live scoring? And generation number?

There is no option for live scoring in Harmonies. There should be previous threads about the topic on this forum (if I recall correctly, some of them had a link to feature request, too, and there the developer has replied that it's a decision made by the publisher and developer). So, you need to kee...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

My stats from playing exclusively 2-player games. Majority is Side A but there are few Side B tournaments as well. I haven't played as much lately (I hate round robin and there's been a sudden influx of that tournament type lately), though. Also, I only play turn-based so I rarely engage with the Ar...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

That's interesting data (I've been wanting to get premium for a while, but I'm not happy with some of the recent decisions of the site). I'm of a similar view on water, I regularly have games where I have close to no water points because I'm focused more on my overall game plan, and sometimes a riv...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

The way I think of the power rankings in Harmonies is mostly about "How much I want to use an early pick to a particular animal with the intention of planning my board around its completion?". After a few rounds, perceived rankings don't matter - the later choices are dictated by the anima...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

Like this? https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3461284/animal-cards-are-they-all-worth-it It's a very solid and useful analysis. I don't agree with all of it, different players will always have different preferences. But I think most top players could agree that the Ray is the best card and Koala is t...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

Yeah, it seems that most of our disagreements come down to this. In the games I play, the tiles run out before we can fill the map, so there isn't really a consideration of which animals would be best to fill the corner islands. They just never get filled. I had never really thought about it before...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

I would agree that Butterfly's only flaw on side A is that it's tricky to exploit the two water tiles you start with. However, that problem mostly remains on side B. None of the water animals ideally fit with the pattern. I kinda disagree. Fish, Frog and Duck are all more or less ideal for Side B. ...

Re: B Side vs. A Side

(I think it's mandatory to go for at least two water tiles for 10 points.) Actually, two water tiles on Side B is only 5 points. All players start with one island (i.e. score starts from 5, not from 0 like on Side A). This is explicitly written in the rulebook. Personally, I have a slight preferenc...
