I didn't think about this, but how about automatically decline (after some random delay), so the opponent would see that I don't have the ressource. Or simply don't count the time when asked for exchange. The time should only be paid by the one who ask for trade, not the way around! If you see that ...

Suggestion for game Catan

So far I'm annoyed by the game send me trade request that I can't full-fill, and then start counting my time until I decline the trade.

So my suggestion is : add an option for trade alert, that if I don't have ressources required, don't alert me?
