Re: Issues with the rules links

It would be better to link directly to this file page - https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/291227/roll-through-the-ages-the-bronze-age-rules-matt-le You can add that link yourself by clicking on "Add" just behind the headline „Game rules“ The second rules link (Rules | Direct pdf link) is...

Re: Script idea: limiting daily moves per table to reduce attention overload

Surely the simplest answer would be to only join tables that are 1 move per day or 1 move per 2 days? Then you know that so long as you check BGA once a day, you'll never be in any danger of running out of time in your games and so there's no issue with just turning the notifications off. One of you...

Re: Where is the setting for "friendly/normal" mode?

Someone has already explained how to select friendly mode when starting a new game. You can check what mode a game in progress has by scrolling down to under the game board where you'll see the following tabs: How to play? Competition Strategy tips Options Credits Click on options and then scroll do...

Issues with the rules links

Is this the best way to make someone who can fix this problem aware of these issues? The English rules linked on the game page are confusing and one of the links is actually for a different game. The first rules link (called "Roll through the Ages: Bronze Age") goes to the BGG files page f...

Re: Why was my table automatically closed for being abandoned when it definitely wasn't abandoned?

Making moves in a solo game doesn't change when the system will treat the game as abandoned at all. I don't think that's confirmed. That's what I suggested could be happening, but it could be something else. Even if that's the case, it could still be game-dependent. I believe there are some wargame...

Re: take this down

Taking it down entirely would probably mean also removing the completed games from the played games history of everyone who played this while it was here. I don't want the games of FotF that I played here erased and I think most other people would agree on this. If I get a physical copy of it one da...

Re: Recover this game

+1 FotF was my second favourite solo game when it was here even though it didn't have all the characters or objectives and I'd love to have it back on BGA! Or any kind of digital version even if it's separate to BGA (but I'd prefer to have it came back to BGA). I've thought about buying a physical c...

Re: Why was my table automatically closed for being abandoned when it definitely wasn't abandoned?

We can launch a whole detective game about these oddities on BGA. Who can find out quickest that: - Automatically closed games show a duration of 35 days even though in reality they close only after 41 days since last activity (and the FAQ says 40 days). - The game type of friendly-mode games shows...

Re: Why was my table automatically closed for being abandoned when it definitely wasn't abandoned?

It's possible that a "move" is detected by a change of active players, at least in some games. In that case a solo game never completes any move. I doubt BGA considers it a priority to have a consistent behaviour for multi-week solo games, or that many game developers have thoroughly test...

Re: Why was my table automatically closed for being abandoned when it definitely wasn't abandoned?

I also can't understand why the game was abandoned. It looks like your premium subscription may have expired during the course of your game. I wonder if BGA stopped your game because of that. That seems like a questionable policy if that's what happened. If they did do this, that's a really good wa...
