Re: Friends list and known games

Is it possible to search a game and see the people from the friends list who know the game? If not, would you find it an interesting idea. Several times, I have been wanting to play a game from my "known game list" with a friend who also knows the game. It is a very long manual work to op...

Ties are considered a negative result for the higher ranked player, in terms of their ELO (they should have beat you, and they weren't able to). Hence, the higher ranked player will lose ELO in a tied situation (and the lower ranked will gain).

That makes sense! Thank you

Re: Need contract about a player who died

I'm sorry for your loss. So many young people dying these days. I would put a message in the games for the others so the games are not just left hanging. Can you log in to her account and quit games for her? Games with no timer will let you end them after a few months go by. I can't recall how long....

In my understanding, guru-ship is reserved for those who play most frequently. In that case, it does make sense for the ones who spend the most hours to choose the ongoing format.

Re: Game timer on singles games vs tournaments

Tournament games are fixed time. So if you start with 48 hours, that's all you get for the entire game. If you sleep, yes, you lose a bunch of hours. It's one of the reasons booting in tournaments is a bit controversial, because poor combinations of timezones with other players can put you in a sit...

Game timer on singles games vs tournaments

A BGA friend and I are trying to understand if there is any difference at all in the timers for playing tournaments vs playing a single game? \If each player gets 2 days to think on a single game, does that two days restart each time a person plays, or is it a total clock count down and each player ...

Re: Can't see game on mobile device?
On Android, when I tap anywhere on the card it shrinks down into a circle the size of the "?" in the lower left. Tapping the circle enlarged it again.
Brilliant! Thank you! That is exactly what I need to learn. I wish I could shut the card off but at least I can collapse i...

Can't see game on mobile device?

There is HUGE card of the distribution of chips that covers at least 80% of my mobile device screen keeping me from seeing well enough to play. If I scroll I can see tiny bits of the game in the areas around this card but the card stays front and center and never gets smaller or allows me to really ...

Thanks. Here is what happened when I clicked the ?
