It is a shame, I enjoy it and even made a version to play at home, although still not many people at home lay either. Happy to be added for those who like it. As it is always good to play a quick few games with someone.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I think a long version could just be an option to not ha e the colony cards. Let the stations play out as to build up the various functions and tricks they offer.

Definately makes sense considering there is something to do for everyone with every turn. You could make the auto selects default or mandatory to speed things along but that still probably wouldn't be enough when your games are across different time zones. A faster 2 player only arena would be good....

It does seem like a lot that can be done with this game. I don't know about expansion, unless it is just additional crew with different skills, but some alternate rules are definately possible.
