Re: Why from Los angeles to New York values 21

You have to ask this question to Ticket To Ride creator ! But the reply is for the difficulty to build all this long route. If you look all the destination cards, you will see that it is not the only case: The long destination cards points can be greater to the number of train cars needed to build ...

Re: Friendly robber in Arena (again)

I really dont understand what the benefit is of playing friendly anyway. Friendly Robber, in a competitive setting, benefits the people who have the strongest starting position, helping to cement their lead. In a casual setting, among players who are not competitive and not strong at the game, it a...

Re: multiple accounts

Or accept that trying to make people behave like computers is a losing proposition, and the harder you try to nail down the rules, the more bad actors will find ways to manipulate things to be as toxic as possible (or cheat) while being within the rules. General rules allow for moderator interpretat...

We won't get another response from master of blufff - the account no longer exists. Whether he rage-quit or got nuked by moderation may never be known.

Re: multiple accounts

So you're proposing that when someone uses multiple accounts to pad the win ratings and reputation of one of the accounts, the mods should let the player keep the inflated account, and only get rid of the dummy accounts? How does that improve things? If anything, that encourages people to cheat like...

Re: Additional penalty for conceding?

I’m starting to think that conceding shouldn’t just result in a regular loss. Maybe players should pay an additional penalty for conceding —something that discourages players from throwing in the towel too easily, yet still allows them an out when things truly are hopeless. No. You've got your win....

Re: Cheating

I believe they're talking about 3-player games because the Arena is currently set up for 3-player games. So a pair of people colluding can essentially run roughshod over the third player.

Re: If you don't want to play with these settings, change your preferences.

There's a lot of reasons for people not wanting to start the game. They don't like your rating (or the rating of someone else). They think it's taking too long. They don't like the settings. They just started a different game, and got erased from yours. And many others. And unless they tell you, you...

Re: BGA RULES CLARIFICATION!

You have misunderstood things. You are not allowed to play against the same people over and over, especially when there's an obvious and unavoidable difference in skill (and/or match throwing). Having a partner in Spades is entirely normal, allowed, and often expected. Note, however, that partnering...

Re: Who programmed the dice?

It is ludicrous to state to a disgruntled player that he or she has faith in probability or in the BGA. It is wrong from a mathematical, computer science, and business standpoint. This is the same mentality that feeds into mentality like, "The customer is always right," which, in the mome...
