These are just bandaids on a bullet wound... the real problem is 0-150 ELO players do not have anyone to play against anywhere near their level. The answer is a resounding "YES". Maybe if Ultimate is approved a new influx of players would arrive. But given this response, as a BGA reviewer ...

As has been explained over and over, the ELO matching both resets automatically to include all ELOs, and when restricted makes the game unplayable because of the long queue times.

It's nice to see other new players in this thread validating that the new player experience is unpleasant.

It sounds like experienced players restricting their match settings so they're not being paired with new players would help quite a bit.

Also, some new player may learn the ‘Ultimate Version’ rather than the 3rd version as in BGA, so they may not be interested in playing here. If experienced players care about having people to play in 2 years, I suggest they be friendlier to new players. Would there be interest in a regular tournament reserved for players under a certain Elo? I think the response here shows you what's happening to the game.
