Please don't require 50% "progression" to concede

In Backgammon at least, quite often the outcome of the game can become clear enough for someone to want to concede long before BGA thinks the game has had 50% "progression". It's frustrating to mechanically play out moves until the progression reaches that arbitrary point.

Re: Waiting screen before game - FAQ

You've mentioned a couple of times that giving away ELO to everyone increased your user base by 20% but cut paying users by 25%. That doesn't seem like a good trade for you. Yes, the site is more popular, but you're hurting for revenue. Giving away a premium feature will always make you more popular...

Incan Gold game log: show number of gems taken when player leaves the temple

It's a key part of the game that the number of gems inside other players' tents be hidden, forcing others to track it themselves, or ignore it and just hope they have enough. However, the current gems in front of a players' tent is visible as they play, by design. And when a player leaves the temple...

Re: About November 25th service interruption and issues

Bugs on card games : cards shuffling was always producing the same results (particularly visible on Love Letter, Belote and Hearts).
I'm curious how the maintenance caused that to happen. How does the shuffling process work that would allow this result?

Backgammon doubling cube and gammons/backgammons

A significant part of the strategy in competitive backgammon involves the doubling cube. (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backgammon_match_strategy for details.) It adds a second level of strategy to the game, forcing the player to think about their chances of winning, and whether they want to acc...

Re: Sounds when you are not on the BGA tab

This works fine in Firefox; sounds play even if you're not on the tab.

Re: Sound when it is my turn in any game

Another possibility would be to use the HTML5 Notifications API (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/notification). That would allow the site to show a desktop notification when it's your turn, even with the site closed. That would even allow the site to display push notifications on mo...

Re: Premium member : allow to know who gave us a red thumb

I don't think this is a good idea either. Players who receive a lot of red thumbs already attempt to figure this out based on who they've played with, and those are exactly the kinds of players who shouldn't have that information. If anything, I'd suggest rounding red thumbs and/or updating red thum...

Re: Negative information in Hanabi

I'd like to see this as well, as an option players can choose to use. It doesn't tell players anything they don't already know, but it eliminates mechanical memorization.

(I'm really tempted to start taking written notes in my next real-life Hanabi game, because clue-tracking is just too useful.)

Re: A new visual identity for Board Game Arena

I like the new look. One visual bug caused by the new theme, though: the 'I would like to think a little' link at the top is now almost invisible due to using white-on-white text. With the new light-colored top bar, the link needs to use dark text now. (Reported as http://en.boardgamearena.com/#!bug...
