What isn't yet mentioned is the obvious problem with time causing the game to end, when there are more than 2 players. In such games it ruins the game for everyone which would not be fair either.

Rating adjustments when game is not completed

I just played a game of Puerto Rico where one player disconnected. It was a 3-player game and I had the highest rating. When the rating adjustments were calculated this caused me to lose rating due to tie with the other non-leaving player, that doesn't seem fair to me. I think it would make more sen...
