Re: How is speed of BGA Arena games determined?

This part of jesslc's post is correct, with one necessary addition: if you ONLY want to play fast, set the speed setting appropriately to "never" for normal and slow, and always restart your queue when the color changes from bright green. Annoyingly, the "I never want..." settin...

Re: Please stop putting timers on confirmation buttons

It does strike me as rather ridiculous when you have 48 hours to make your move and 5 seconds to confirm it. Perhaps it would be best if the timer allowed several minutes for confirmation in turn-based games. Personally I think it's completely ridiculous to have a confirm countdown timer for turn b...

Re: Video chat with friends

Does every player need to have a premium account or only one of them? Just one of them. A non premium member can accept the invite to join when a premium member starts a video chat at the table but a non premium member can't start a video chat. Also, in some games it will let you expand the size of...

Re: How is speed of BGA Arena games determined?

At the lobby stage you select slow, normal or fast. In the new lobby there's a toggle button next to the slider for "flexible" which if turned on means you might get a game at a speed you didn't select. I prefer to use the old lobby still because I find it easier to manually check exactly ...

Re: Can this be played on a touchscreen tablet?

Probably you have worked it out by now but just in case anyone else needs help with this... I use BGA (almost) entirely on an android mobile and AFFO is a little fiddly but otherwise works fine. You don't drag the tiles. Instead you tap the expand button on the island/house/main board which will bri...

Re: What order are turn based games listed on "games in progress"?

All of my games in progress (when not on turn) are listed in the order that the table was created (earliest first). This is not the same as the time the game started, which is what's actually listed on the games in progress page. Not sure why you're experiencing something different. When I'm "o...

Re: Mode Solo

The solo game ends when once you fill up your player board or 2 turns around the supply board, whichever of these happens first.

Re: Mode Solo

I played for the first time a few days ago and won the solo game with 11 points. I think my experience with Bärenpark helped me out quite a bit. At a guess, the thing you're missing might be that you can move to the next space that gives animals without having to use any of your range tokens (unless...

Re: Having terrible luck with people timing out on Turn Based Games

I thought arena games were live. How many turns/day is the arena? That's up to you - in the old play now lobby you can click on the gear for arena settings and set up what preferences you like. Probably there's a way to set it in the new lobby too (I haven't used it for Arena yet). The default Aren...

Re: Is this rude?

I don't think it's rude in general to ask someone about how much they've played a game. But I'd recommend not assuming any correlation between not having played much and wanting tips. If the in game chat/discussion with the other players touches on how much experience I've had with the game we're pl...
