They're an optional UI element to help keep track of the cards in your hand. You can mark the cards you want to play first as a green flag, lower-priority cards as yellow, the cards you don't care about as red. Or, you can completely ignore them and not use them at all.

It's a bit like Battlecon that way...you always know exactly what your opponent CAN do. You have to then figure out what they're GOING TO do.

Or, like me, guess wrong repeatedly and lose.

IF there are limited spaces available for the playtest, please remove me so someone else can take my spot. I don't have the brainspace right now to learn a new game this complex.
