Re: Poker Texas Hold'em is now Alpha

Every game can be a gambling game. Backgammon for sure. Since there is no real money involved in not worried just as I'm not worried that having the game President here is creating a culture of fraternity bros. Not every game actively involves gambling though - that's the primary mechanism of poker...

Re: Narabi is now in beta!

1) No. Either rotating player names with cards or putting unrotated names next to rotated cards look awkward. 2) All visible info is already recorded by game logs. You can reread them whenever you want. If you want to track information by yourself, you should use a separate note. It's too bad you s...

Re: Narabi is now in beta!

Fun game, my group enjoyed playing it and will probably play it again. Couple of thoughts since it's still in Beta: 1) Can you follow what seems to be a BGA convention and list the player's name next to their cards? It's much easier to follow turn order and makes the game easier to play and more inv...

Re: Poker Texas Hold'em is now Alpha

It's a shame, because I was hoping to turn my poker-playing buddies (we play for bragging rights) into board gamers by bringing them to Board Game Arena and having them try some simple games. Looks like it won't be happening. I do think that is a trick the site is missing, it would be great if a lo...

Re: Poker Texas Hold'em is now Alpha

hi it is one year the game has been announced in alpha, and still it is someone knows if there is some problem on it? will it be released at last? thanks I once had great expectations for this game to appear on BGA, but I think a handful of reasons have combined to make the game unlikely to appear ...

Re: Poker Texas Hold'em is now Alpha

I am sure this is mentioned before, but with Texas holdem not only a gambling game but EVERYWHERE and NOT a game that BOARDGAMERS play is it really something to have on this site so that people that just come to play another poker game on a different platform are using server space that I can guara...

Re: SKULL: I like to save bones for special occasions

The dark blue background for the playing area makes it very difficult to read the player names. It might be the absolute worst background color for displaying colored type. And yes, it is difficult to instantly see how many cards (coasters) are in each pile to follow direction of play. I say this as...

Re: The Crew - Quest for Planet Nine

I agree, Baron. This one modification would help those who haven't played trick taking games to become familiar with the genre and play more of The Crew. Hiding behind the rules for IRL play doesn't make sense for the unique demands of online card and board games. More players means more money for ...

Re: The Crew - Quest for Planet Nine

I've been playing the current version for a few weeks now. While we are enjoying the game very much, we were also wishing that there was a display that would show which cards have already been played, something like the table in Hanabi that shows all cards that have been discarded. I'm guessing that...
