Re: Graphics change

Latest news. The problem with the game log not displaying what card has been played does appear to be fixed for ongoing moves. The played card values are still not displayed for old log history, but I can live with that. AFAICT the cards in my had are still being sorted properly. OK so far. New grap...

Re: "Best" column combination

Having fun with computer skills... 6-7-8 gives you a 29% chance of running the 6 or 8 4-6-8 gives you a 28% chance of running the 4 7-8-12 gives you a 24% chance of running the 12 Now, in real life, you don't target a specific column, you just push the one that has the most progress. I haven't calcu...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

I would support a change of making the playing time more visible. But putting in a rule to say that you can't do this is unenforceable. How do you tell when someone is doing it legitimately or when someone is being a bad actor. Proving intent is difficult but not impossible. In my case, their game ...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

I did open a bug report about adding this to the list of forbidden behaviors. As of now, what they are doing is 100 percent legal. It will take a lot more people upvoting it before anyone really pays attention to it. You can find it at https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=169035 Reporting this as abusi...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

That explains a bit more about how they work this. I beat their system by living on the west coast US and staying up until midnight. They always got the last move in each day, but the clock stopped running at 3AM so I only lost 3 hours each night. I could make that up during the day by staying close...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

Then repeated the abandon game request for every turn they took for the rest of the game. Okay, this is the kind of behaviour that would drive me up the wall! If it were up to me, they would have this message in their profile: This player has been banned from BGA. (forever) Very understandable. But...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

Vut all of this is still in the hands of the player who joins the game, just don't join games where the play time, or the amount of turns, doesn't fit your available hours. But don't you see, this person is using some kind of mind control to make people join inappropriate games. It's pretty nefario...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

Starting wondering how player X is making this work. As others have pointed out, BGA has a global user base. Picking an active time that is the regular sleeping hours in your time zone just means it will be a perfect for someone on the opposite side of the globe. So I did a bit more research into th...

Re: Abuse of fast turn based option

How is this different from playing against beginners who make rookie mistakes? Fair question. Well, rookie players playing against experts expect to loose most of the time. And hopefully pick up some experience that will make them better players in the future. They are not likely to feel abused by ...
