You do, the number of cards in your draw pile is shown on the left hand side of your player board where you keep the deck in the physical version. If it is one or more you also see a card back there.

Gordon is not an automatic win, even if someone gets it early doors. Had a game yesterday where an opponent bought it in the first round and came last. Despite it taking 23 points off me I still won.

True she beat you 3 v 2 for the 19 points on the rivers at top left, but your remaining single hut got 21 points (lots of fish and the point per lake tile) over on the river system on the right hand side.

I don't think you get a prompt about that cube (not a card I have used very often so I'm not 100% sure) but I believe technically you could click on it and choose a sector even if it wouldn't gain you a double reward as it is not one you can activate. This is conjecture as I've never felt like road ...

You can set this on a game by game basis by clicking the cog icon to the left of the game's image on the Play now tab. I think the cube you had in sector 8 may have interfered with it, even though it wasn't one that would have been any use to you it seems to be programmed to wait for a confirmation if there are any sectors with cubes that could be activated.

You can certainly get stronger and weaker starting hands from the lightspeed start, but you still need a strategy and some luck from the dice to bring even the strongest ones home. Yes, click on the hammer or stall icons in your player card at the top right of the screen. This opens a pop up showing what you have collected so far.
