Re: Early save or no? (Card will be playable but isn't yet)

Fair warning - I was player B. as long as player D on their next move might be discarding But that is literally the point of contention. Player D had literally no reason to discard. They have the 1 to play... Player A argues that the save allowed player B to clue player C's playable red cards instea...

Re: Ticket to ride

People who block should be banned or at least lose lots of ELO. It's so annoying when people block, it's completely opposite of the point of the game. Who has fun anyway when people block? There is absolutely no joy. "it's completely opposite of the point of the game." Once again for thos...

Re: Major connectivity issues to bga in the past week or two

What type of internet do you have? I get this issue in Australia, but only on mobile internet (4G) - from both a mobile phone and laptop. The /lobby page is quite large and takes over 1 minute for it to fully download. No such issues on FTTP (wifi from the same mobile phone and laptop). Only on mobi...

Re: Community consensus / unwritten rules about blocking?

And no offense to Alan, but who cares what Alan Moon has to say about the topic? He doesn't get to define the so-called spirit of the game for us. He designs the game and defines the rules and then it takes on a life of its own. Alan was cited since those against blocking or "malicious blockin...

Re: Community consensus / unwritten rules about blocking?

The second quote is open to interpretation. However, neither quote supports malicious blocking. His quote is: For instance, if someone is collecting yellow, orange, and pink, chances are they are trying to build Seattle-NY. If someone is collecting black, green, and red, they are trying to build LA...

I think having a mechanism that explicitly punished those with a physical disability / impaired mobility doesn't sound great to me.

Well given they red thumbed me in response (*), I suspect they don't appreciate Alan Moon's view on the matter.

(*) It can't be due to a game against them, since I have never played them before.

Re: Community consensus / unwritten rules about blocking?

that maliciously blocking people just for the sake of blocking being unsportsmanlike and against the spirit of the game. Have you talked to Alan Moon to see if he likes it your way? What you all don't understand and I'm pretty sure he'd agree with me is that maliciously blocking people just for the...

Re: Community consensus / unwritten rules about blocking?

I see that you don't understand the true point of a game. Surely the point of the game is at least somewhat defined by the designer. And Alan Moon has multiple times stated that blocking is part of the game . https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/98173/reducing-luck-in-ticket-to-ride states, for example...
