Edit : I started a new game to check that and i was able to see the first player immediatly. I might have been blind haha.

Calculation is off, you lack 1M to do this. Sell 15 cards except NRA means sell 14 cards so only 14M, and you get -2M from ocean rebate and -1M from ocean card draw. Unless i miscalculated.

I guess if we go by sport analogy, the best arena format would be solo TM game with same seed. The majority of sports created being solo or pseudo-solo record breaking based. There are multiple sports with interactions between players that are regarded as highly competitive and have more than 3 players. A lot of racing sports where estimating the pace of the race is very important wether you need to tired out your opponents or keep some stamina for final sprint. Or even ...
