Re: Why is BGA still on Twitter (X) ?

fwiw, I agree with OP. BGA has some need to communicate with its users when your servers are down. The choices of platforms to do this (Xitter and Facebook) are terrible, and reflect poorly on BGA. With the greatly increased membership fees I'd expect you could afford a real status service where you...

Re: new graphics

Noting there are 8 people in this thread who basically never post on the forums, 3 of whom literally this was their first post ever.
When the silent people start speaking up, there must be a good reason!

Re: new graphics

Agreeing with folks here : Aesthetics aside, the new graphics are -much- harder to read, and therefore a big step backwards in UX and playability for this game. I filed a suggestion asking for a CHOICE in graphics. https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=172152 Also there's a bug filed for the mix-up betw...

Re: "Move Recorded, Waiting for Update"

its networking peering. all BGA's websockets are broken through my ISP xfinity, because the server's traffic through the websocket never reaches my browser. somewhere along the line, the traffic is being dropped. because of peering agreements among various carriers, internet traffic in the two direc...

Re: New game page

i do not like the new game page. it is much more confusing and noisy, not too mention _ENORMOUS_ in the layout. The key thing which is missing is the table chat. The old table invite gives access to a chat attached to the table, so you can discuss things before the game begins. I often use this with...

Re: Top right zone update

It's been a couple weeks and I've waited to not give a quick rush-to-judgment ("Change sucks!"). I realize its still a work-in-progress (like all software) and hope you're open to some feedback. Up to now, I'm finding the new UI worse than the old. Here are some specifics. * the Table icon...

Memory and Asynchronous games

I think any game which has a memory component needs to do away with that, for asynchronous play. If information was available to you, it should REMAIN available, in the display, for the rest of the game. Asynchronous games can take a long time to play. I've had one go two months! If information is g...

Re: Off the Rails

I can't find where to give feedback about the implementation, so I'm gonna post here. - the board orientation has confused several people i've taught it to. they assume "their" side of the board is at the bottom. It would be nice if the orientation of the board could be drawn in favor this...
