Anyone willing to teach me the finesse convention?

I've played so much of this in person and online--but really want to learn and practice Finesse. Would anyone be willing to teach me and play/give feedback? Would be glad to play it on training even for a bit while learning.

One challenge you're going to have is that you've played a lot of 2p, and presumably with a high abandon rate, so your ELO is >1,300 people are going to expect you to understand how 3p+ works deeply, even beyond basic finesse. I agree the guide posted is great reading on the subject, but you may want to warn people that your ELO is reflective of 2p play.

In addition to segfaltnh's advice, if you're looking for a normal game you could also try and find ones with the 5 Flamboyants option switched on, which hopefully makes it less 'high-stakes' for players. Good luck, hope you find a good bunch of people to learn with

The elo is not reflective of 2p play at all. The elo is only reflective of abandoning a lot of games (wouldn't matter if that's done in 2p 3p or whatever# p)

So, OP, that's what you really should warn people about, cause many won't be happy do get 30% abandon requests.

Personally, if I see that elo score, I wouldn't think you know any hanabi, just that you enjoy cheating the system. But yes, there might be a few that you trick into thinking you know how to play very very well

Good point, qwertasdfg. Anecdotally, I do find there's a lot more ELO cheating collusion in 2p, and a category of player that gravitates from 3p-5p to 2p and has an infinitely skyrocketing ELO. I would love them to add a no abandon table option and/or an abandon rate filter to tables.
