I just want to post a comment to thank everyone for your great and constructive feedback.

We are reading every comment, even if we are not (and cannot) answer everyone.

Obviously there are some bugs and room for improvements, and there will be updates. I would just ask you to be patient, because we need time to identify the real issues, what need to be upgraded, and what is just a temporary annoyance due to the change.

We play on BGA like you, so in the end we all want the same thing. It may take some little time but at the end of the process these new features will be good for everyone :)

While this is a nice feature, having some way to quickly determine if it is my turn in games is important to me, without an extra click. An indicator or something else would be nice if you are permanently doing away with the top notification for my turn in games in progress. As someone who plays a lot of turn-based games, this is a downgrade in terms of functionality. Thanks for considering my feedback.

My only complaint is about not knowing if it is my turn at a quick glance. I wish there was a way this could be incorporated into the new design.

To echo the other responses, it is really confusing to have the waiting for player to join table (when that player isn't myself) at the top of the dropdown. Also, it is much less intuitive to know if it is my turn at a table. When it was my turn with the new interface, it took me a while to figure out how to find the table where it was my turn, and I didn't use the new dropdown. I clicked it but didn't see that it was my turn (I don't think the table came to the top of the list?). What exactly are the steps we are supposed to go through to find out it is our turn and get to that table?

I recently became a premium member and I'm disappointed with having this new update thrust on me, which is jarring and difficult to use. I know you had a group of testers, but I wonder whether any of your testers was older than 45 or has a visual impairment.

Could you please make it a priority to introduce the option for users to revert to the old layout? This is a necessity for anyone with "older eyes" or impaired vision.

The sound setting is broken - on iPad Safari. Even when muting the page totally, it still plays the sounds since the introduction of this change.
„week long careful testing“ ala BGA at its best…

Having looked through it now, I can honestly see no improvement on the old GUI.

I can see changes, yes, but it's all about things that don't interest me - and the things that do interest me are gone.

Karma is only green or red (Or orange/blue for colourblindness considerations)
Xp doesn't interest me as it's Gamification - which borders on Gambling/Lootboxes.
Friends I can find If I need them.
It seems to be tailored for those of us with 4K monitors - which is fine - but there's a load of us on small monitors and phones that don't want to load high density gifs in where text would be easier.

Also - pulsing red avatars - I cannot strongly express how bad that is. It may as well be nails across a blackboard.

I appreciate that a lot of work has gone into this, but it seems to be on the proviso of "Let's make it more like Facebook" - which is a horrendous decision.

There is nothing I have run into yet that makes the site easier to use and numerous things that make it harder to use. If there are those that really enjoy this, then I am happy for them to keep this - but please allow those traditionalists to keep the site we know.

Progress towards a goal perpendicular to the userbase is regress. IMHO.

It's a change; I'll get used to it. But...

Here are some bugs & suggestions, some of which others have already mentioned:
  • If you have no active turns to take, the orange blob should be greyed out, similar to the behavior of the friends icon when no friends are online.
  • The friends panel should retain the expand/collapse state of the Online and Offline groups so they are expanded or collapsed as you left it when you open the panel again.
  • I agree with others that the green dot at the top right of my avatar is unnecessary and distracting. I know that I'm online.
  • Clicking ANYWHERE outside of the panel should close the panel. I should not have to click on the friend icon or my avatar a second time to close the respective panel.
  • The four icons on the avatar panel (the blob, exclaimation, speech bubble, and control panel) should be greyed out when inactive and blue (or purple, whatever) when active. The underline on the active icon is nice.

On mobile (Google Chrome on Samsung Galaxy S21):
  • The avatar panel shows, but I cannot scroll to see the contents. I can see the webpage behind the panel scrolling, but the panel is "stuck" in place.
  • UPDATE: this appears to be resolved now. /UPDATE The avatar panel does not close when tapping the avatar icon a 2nd time. The icon shrinks and moves back into position, but the panel stays visible. Only way to clear t is to refresh the page in the browser.

Thank you
