Game ignoring player number preferences?

Post by RandomSanity »

Hi folks,

I'm new here, I've only played a few games so far, but I've run into an issue with playing games with the specified number of players.

I've selected "I never want to play with" for both 4 and 5 players. I understand it may take longer to find a game with an unpopular player number choice, but I'd still prefer to stick to my settings.

Unfortunately, when I click play now, it looks for a few seconds then immediately starts looking for 4 opponents.

Do these settings not work, or did I just pick a really unpopular game so it doesn't even try to look for a game? For reference, I'm trying to play Taluva and I've always enjoyed that game most with 2 players.

You can set up the game to be just for two players; then wait for someone to join.

I dont think "looking for 4 opponents" means u r in 4 player table.
It means 4 people are waiting, but u dont play with all of them.

I don't think it works like that because for 7 wonders duel, which is a 2 player game, it always says searching for 1 opponent, then when it finds a match it swaps to searching for 0 then starts the game table.

For Taluva, it doesn't find any 2 player games, so it still tries to find 3, 4, 5 player games even though I have those as not to play.

Can you give me a quick tip on how to do that? When I hit play now, I choose a game, I hit the gear to select preferred number of players and it tries to find a game. I don't see any other option for setting this up. Thanks!

On the "Play Now" window, change from "Automatic" to "Manual" (top right) then select Taluva (or whatever game you want to play) from your favorites. (If it is not there type it in to the serach bar.) Then select "Create Table" and choose the options you want.
