Sorry if I missed the answer... but can someone tell me how to access the https://boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress page ?

It used to be a one click feature from everywhere and I can't seem to find it at all now.

Click on your profile image at the top right. There's a button at the bottom that says "View all current tables"

Right clicking on my profile image displays my system browser menu.
Left clicking on it displays an overlapping window. At its bottom, I see a "View game history" button which leads to https://boardgamearena.com/gamestats. There is also a "Play" button with a smilar behaviour than the "Play now" top menu option.

if you click on the games icon, the side menu is displayed and a button appears at the bottom to see all pending tables

I think it's showing you the "View game history" button because you don't have any active games. My button says "View all current tables (9)" because I'm currently playing nine games. I think the button text and link are contextual.

I was using that page to watch ongoing games even when I had no active games. So, is it no longer possible to join ongoing games just to spectate them?
Did that feature disappear completely?

Oh. That's a really good question. I don't know how to get to the other games in progress without that link.

games in progress, in addition to being harder to access, no longer shows incomplete tables that have not begun (only games that have actually begun); e.g., if searching for a 4-player game, the game used to show up as a game in progress once 2 or 3 players joined, but now it doesn't until the game has actually begun. Please revert to previous layout and functionality

Thanks everyone for your feedback, it is appreciated.

When working on huge change like this, it is difficult not to miss something, and this is why we asked for this feedback.

As many of you reported this, I would like to confirm that there is an issue to notify clearly when it is your turn to play on a turn based game. We are working on a solution for this (among other other things you reported), so you can be assured it is going to be fixed.

I appreciate you listening. I wanted to add to some of the comments
1. Sometimes my profile icon, or the table disappears, I have to refresh to get it back. I’m on safari.
2. I really dislike the green icon-I know I’m online
3. It is not clear I have a notification if I miss the red flash-turn that green dot into a notification dot. Since an iPad is continually scrolling, I do not have the same header that computers do,
4. Friends-easier to message except when they are In a game. Instead, I’m given two options to visit their table-the hyperlink below or the table to the right. Instead, leave the right side as a message so I can message them instead of visiting their table.
5. I agree the organge blob is not intuitive… but I do believe this is one of those things that people will learn and just dislike because it changed. I do agree it’s not more communicative than before, I also agree it is hard to read the numbers.

I’ve been around long enough to know that people don’t like change and that sometimes we users just complain. But, I think the table issue-which you are working on.. and this would be helpful.

Nobody is talking about the 4th icon, "system preferences". I think this icon should be replaced with an icon for groups.

Or, here's a wild idea, let the 4th icon be a customizable link? Is this possible?
Right now, if you visit the same group a lot, then each time you must:
1. Click your avatar
2. Click "view my profile"
3. Click "groups"
4. Click the group of your choice

The friend's list is a great improvement. The messages list is an improvement too, to a lessor degree. You are working on the turn based tables list. But the 4th icon seems mostly useless, since making changes to preferences is somewhat rare.

I made an earlier suggestion about moving the volume control but I think it's fine where it is because the volume on each game table is still in a handy place.

Then again, it's equally dangerous to signify all progress as good and irreversible. Remember how YouTube was a content creators paradise until the streamlining began. A great UI will prove itself, rather than being the only option.

I dont really mind the new UI.
Its ok to me.
But what annoys me the most is the longer loading time when starting the mobile app or using a mobile browser.

I agree this process is much more tedious to reach groups. I also agree that I’m not changing my preferences often

The message notification is not really visible ... it took me one day to realize someone replied me ... why not bring the good old ! back?
