Arbitrary game invitations

Post by euklid314 »

Perhaps somebody can help me:

I often get request like "Player XY invites you to game ABC." while I am in another (turn-based) game.

Since I do not know these players that invite me, they probably have started a new game, looked at the "XXX Players for this game available" button and just picked a random name to invite.

How can I choose to not be in this list of available opponents or how can I choose not to get the invitation (especially the sound is annoying since it is the same as a fellow player making a move in a turn-based game)?

That sounds odd to be arbitrary. Sure it's not an invitation to a rematch?

If this is not well known and only happens to me, then I will watch that more closely. Surely it is not an invitation to a rematch, since the "arbitrary" inviations sometimes happen when I have not played that specific game for a day or so.

Since it happens mostly (only?) in Backgammon and I have a high elo number there (range of Top 20 to Top 50) I now assume that I get invited either by players I have played a long time ago and who remember my user name or I get invited by players who look who is available and then invite the players on top of this list (players are ranked by ELO there) by chance...

Remove game as favorite. They can always try to invite players who get the game as favorite and are online.

I think this can be setting to turn this on/off because a game is fast in your favorite list..

Where can one see ones own favorite games? Where can one change these settings?

I am not sure, that there is such a list. I am very grateful for any hints.

Go to 'Play Now'. Your favourite games are marked with a red heart. Click on the heart to unfavourite the game.
