BGA plays much different than real life. There is a turn timer. Some games in real life take TOO LONG because of a player overthinking or reaching across table and such. Some games such as BANG! do great at the DESIGNERS idea. Suggesting 5 players was a TERRIBLE idea for BANG! as it has BALANCE as a game at 7 players, just like Sabateur. I really believe the "suggested players" should be discussed with the game designer before BGA makes a decision of putting it on there. In real life among board gamers as a fill game 5 works for SPEED. but as a game that you can finish way faster than Sabateur with 7 also.
IF you are going to suggest BANG 5 players, you should suggest Sabateur 5 players. Both games are FASTER at 5 players but LESS BALANCED. These were both designed for a large group so there is not 1 man out. with 8 players you usually play 2 4p games. Let the designer get the crowd that will BUY THEIR GAME because they found something that is really fun as a large group by suggesting 7. Thank you.
