As a big fan of Set, the best news here is that dobble is a simultaneous game too that can‘t work turn-based (the first of these on BGA, i think, right?), so the chance to ever get Set on BGA increases.
This said, and having looked at all different modes of Dobble, it‘s almost impossible to play properly (some specific on my iPad, some also on my computer) - it lags heavily; the replacement animations are way too slow and lagging; the animations sometimes just are right out unnecessary and highly confusing; in some modes you can click too early; or click earlier than the opponent and he still gets it; there constantly are BGA error banners popping up, for being too late, for a process running already, for whatever random bga bug; … and the issue pretty certainly is not just my internet speed.
Finally, do I just not see the according posts in alpha/beta sections, or did it go to general availability straight away, in which case all points on the list above would not be of that much surprise, with low hopes to have it improve…
So while it‘s cool to have a game in this direction, i feel that it‘s not mature enough yet, and i‘m not sure whether the bga infrastructure is for this type of game, having in mind that also other games are implemented with the slowest pace seen (e.g. Tichu)…
