Arène saison 8: c'est reparti !

Bravo à tous les participants de la saison d'arène précédente, qui a battu tous les records de participation ! Merci à vous pour ce succès.

Mais d'abord, qu'est ce que c'est que le mode Arène ?

Le mode Arène est le mode compétitif de BGA. Si vous voulez jouer de manière compétitive à un jeu que vous maîtrisez particulièrement bien, c'est LE mode avec lequel vous pourrez affronter les meilleurs joueurs et gagner le plus de points d'expérience.

L'arène est organisée en saisons qui durent 3 mois, et les trophées sont attribués en fin de saison aux meilleurs joueurs.

Pour jouer en mode Arène, cliquez sur "Jouer", puis choisissez "Arène" au lieu de "Simple partie".

Formats Arena et gourous

Depuis la saison dernière, c'est vous (et plus exactement les gourous) qui choisissez le format des jeux en Arène, c'est à dire le nombre de joueurs à chaque table et les options utilisées.

Nous sommes très heureux de voir que cette manière de fonctionner a contribué à rendre l'arène plus populaire : merci à tous les gourous pour leurs suggestions d'options et leurs votes !

Modification de règles

Pas de modification de règles cette saison : l'arène fonctionnera exactement de la même manière. Cela ne signifie pas que nous sommes à 100% satisfaits, mais vous semblez apprécier le format actuel et on essaie de garder un peu de stabilité.

Triche

Certains cas de triche ont été repérés lors de la saison précédente. Il faut savoir que la triche est assez simple à repérer, aussi bien par les admins que les modérateurs ou même de simples joueurs, donc aucun gros tricheur ne peut passer à travers les mailles du filet.

Ne perdez pas de temps à essayer de tromper le système: vous risquez de perdre énormément de temps pour rien et de perdre votre compte.

Quelques explications à propos des relégations

A la fin de chaque saison, après avoir récompensé les vainqueurs, vous êtes relégué.

Nous devons parfois appliquer des règles particulières pour un jeu (par exemple si le nombre de ligues a changé), mais dans le cas général, voici ce qui se passe :

• Pour les jeux qui ont 5 ou 6 ligues différentes, tous les joueurs descendent de 3 ligues.
• Pour les jeux qui ont 4 ligues différentes, tous les joueurs descendent de 2 ligues.
• Pour les jeux qui ont 2 ou 3 ligues différentes, tous les joueurs descendent de 1 ligue.
• Pour tous les jeux et toutes les ligues, le nombre de points Arena est remis à 1, et votre AES ("Arena Elo") est remis à 1500.

There is an yet unanswered issue with the Tichu arena format. Maybe you can help us out?

Two options had a lot of votes: One option to choose between 1000 and 500 point limit and one option with almost the same number of votes that the new limit is 1000. The old format with 500 as limit was downvoted hardly.

As the winning suggestion is not a valid arena format, it could not be chosen. We expected that the 2nd favorite format is taken instead (new limit of 1000), but instead the old 500 format was kept. This is confusing because it was by far the least wished option.

Sorry about that, it seems there have been an issue on our side during the first phase of the selection (one week ago). In case of a tie it is us (admins) who makes the decision, and we should have decide for the other option. The Gurus did not have a chance to vote for/against this change so we cannot change it now, and unfortunately we have to wait for the next season now

Following this, we are going to put some extra care on this for the next season.

What do you mean with that? The gurus had the chance to vote for the 1k option tying as first against the invalid option for the whole past season, and they did so, otherwise it hadnt tied for first (and it also had the lead for lots of the time).

In the last season the format of "Castles of Burgundy" got changed during the season. Maybe it is possible to do the same for Tichu?
