Word games / Games about "telling stories":
  • Concept
  • Remember When?
  • Haiclue
  • Stella
  • Factum
  • Illustori
Easy games with a fun theme:
  • Fluxx
  • Sushi Go!
  • Just Desserts
  • Martian Dice
  • Coloretto
  • Piraten Kapern
  • Flaming Pyramids
  • Monster Factory
Games with teams where you may consult/bluff/lie:
  • Not Alone
  • Saboteur
  • Werewolves
Coop with discussing strategy:
  • Pandemic
  • Solar Storm
I think all of these can be played without talking as well, but are good grounds for a fun/chatty time.

edit: included some other suggestions

Check out the Allround-League: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=7870115 --> a league where you have matches of random games vs. other players in your group. Season 9 registration oct. '25.

Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)

Same principle here https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=solarstorm But of course more players know the famous Pandemic ...

Factum is supposed to be a get to know each other game, but I haven't tried it yet.

Flaming Pyramids definitely has humour that encourages chat among certain players.

I and my friends find a lot of humour and conversation material in killing each other in Noir, but YMMV.

And Haiclue can be talky with the right group.
