Premium family account

Post by SephiWarcry »

Issue: me, my wife are enjoying bga and don't mind buying a premium account. Now our kids are getting into boardgames with their far away grandparents. I would like them to use their own kids account. However their favourite games like Carcassonne are then unavailable as is playing both simultaneously against a grandparent.

Suggested solution: introduction of a family premium membership. Two adult accounts and up to X(3?) Kids accounts all premium at the price of? Two premium accounts, or maybe 2.5? In the end you want those young kids to be interested as investment into future boardgame players.

I don't mind paying for bga, but so many premium accounts gets expensive.

Just in case the family premium membership doesn't happen:

You only need 1 premium account to start any game.
You probably only need 1 premium account in your family. One of the grandparents or possibly one of the kids could be the premium account backup.

You can always play a lot of different non-premium games.

The thing is, he has 2 children, "Alvin" and "Simon", and they want to play a long distance game with grandpa "Theodore". Alvin and Simon are on the same IP, and to join the same table, either Alvin, or Simon need a premium account, whether Theodore has a premium account or not.

If I'm not mistaken.

Sorry but I think you are. I've played with my parents, they are on the same IP and they are not premium. As I am premium, they can play with me, they don't need to be premium.

Yes, only 1 premium account required.

I have played with a bunch of people from my own house together with a mix from different households all at the same time.
