Red Thumbs Preventing Spectating Games

Post by QBert »

Hi, I'm relatively new to playing against strangers on BGA and was surprised to learn that players give out red thumbs quite liberally (perhaps it is because I am slower than most players). This is fine, except I'm finding I'm no longer allowed to spectate my friends playing games if they happen to be in a game with someone I've played against who gave me a red thumb. I don't understand the logic of blocking spectating just because you don't want to play with a particular player. Yes, chatting in the game should absolutely be blocked but not spectating. It would be nice if this could be changed (I'm sure that's unlikely) or at least to have some explanation for it.

I can see the logic of it. Could be very distracting to see someone you've red-thumbed watching you play. You can still spectate if you are logged out though - the table players then just see some anonymous ID.

I didn't know you could spectate while logged out. Thanks for this, I will try it next time.
