Hi Chromino Players 👋

A new build, with another variant ruleset included, will be deployed shortly.
  • New Ruleset - EXPERT Play
A new optional ruleset has been added. Expert Play is one of the official Chromino Alternative Versions, and in some households, it's the default way to play. In addition to trying to empty your hand, you should also be trying to play higher scoring tiles and making the most connections.

    From the Chromino rule book:
It is possible, and even recommended for regular players, to play Chromino by giving a
score to each tile placement, depending on the complexity of the tile itself and the position
    it is finally placed in.
    1. Each Chromino is given a value equal to the number of different colors it is made up of (1, 2 or 3 points - Chameleon Chromino tiles being worth 3 points).
    2. As each Chromino tile is placed, add the value of the Chromino being placed to the value of all the tiles it is placed in contact with.
  • Improved Mobile UX
Small tweaks to the UX should make playing on mobile slightly more intuitive.
As always, games that were started prior to this release might experience some issues when attempting to resume post update.
I have tried again to mitigate any potential errors, but I do apologise if I was not able to save your game 🙇‍♂️

Kind regards, and happy gaming! 🍻

I'm curious; why is the game still in alpha? It looks really good and as far as I'm concerned there have been no bugs.

Mutantpigeon24, you have been doing an awesome awesome job. The few suggestions I made were analyzed and implemented really quickly. A+++

Hi Samfolds and Cyllan33 👋

Thank you both so much for the words of encouragement, it really is appreciated.
The game does seem pretty mature at this point (mostly thanks to player's like yourselves giving great feedback on way to improve) and I'd hope to move to the BETA phase soon.
Moving to the BETA phase would allow us to not only increase the amount of players testing and finding minor bugs, but also getting more feedback on ways to improve the game even more.

Unfortunately it is not completely in my or BGA's control to promote the game to BETA... We'd need approval from the publisher, Zygomatic.
There is communication ongoing with the Studio, but the async nature of our chats mean its slow going :(

The last comms we got was an ask to bring the game more in line with the brand, I have done this and I think the game looks great thanks to their feedback.

So for now we can just hope Zygomatic are happy with the changes, and are confident in promoting the game to BETA.

Until then, thank you for the feedback, it is always welcomed 🙇‍♂️
Happy gaming 🍻

Apologies for the delayed response Amy. This issue should only be present in the Alpha version of the game.
Since the game has now been moved to Beta it should not hinder you going forward :) Thanks for the report
