why sound in real time not constant?

ever since this new player board I have had to turn sound off and on to get notification during real time play. i looked in setting and all i see is what "ringtone" you want for notifiaction NO ON OFF! So why this garbage! So if i set a table and wander off a few feet. wash dishes etc i cant hear a "DING!" to let me know gme is starting for accept or DING! its my turn UNLESS I turn off the sound then click it on agin..this is very annoying. I have push notifications turned off because i dont like my email blown up but this real time is ridiculous to the point where if i paid attention i probably would of stopped my subscription from renewing! PLEASE get us our souind as CONStANT again for when we are active on site
