Tie in Azul tournament

Post by yoyote »

Hi
https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=246168465
During an Azul tournament, i did a tie in semi-final (same number of points, same number of lines completed)
My opponent advanced to the final, I've been eliminated.
Can you explain to me how is chosen the one who go next step ? Best ELO ?
Thanks.

I think it just picks someone at random.

Same happened here, same score and same amount of horizontal rows, yet for some reason I was decided to lose :(

Reflexion time for my game :
-Me 9h23
-My Opponent 2h50

Reflexion time for your game :
-You 3:09
-Your opponent 2:18

It can explain...

I lost two points because another player abandoned the game before the end. I was in first place but it was considered tie with the other 3 players who remained, this is absurd, the first to give up obviously gets fourth place and zero points and doesn't being punished the first place.
