in a war neutrality does not exist. if you are not in favor of the invaded, you are in favor of the invasion. I'm fine with you wanting to be (what you consider) neutral, but some of us can't stay quiet when there are (a lot of) people dying and losing everything they have.

Please ban Russians, that's not an attack?

It's a form of discrimination solely based on nationality. Even if they're not living in Russia anymore, this is still attacking those people born as Russians.

I think the same. It is not an attack on Russian players, nor is it racism. A blockade of Russian IPs is requested as a sign of rejection of what their president is doing. The same as removing the country from the swift system but at the level of what web administrators can do. I am personally against doing it. If Putin has an account here, I hope he will be banned immediately and for life. But the civilians who are here would not be blocked. Forming ghettos has never been a good idea...

Anyone is free to go.

I don't think it's ok either, that you threaten BGA to forbid people to talk on a subject you dislike, by saying you quit if they let us speak our thoughts.

You can leave the site without threatening, or you can ignore subjects you dislike, like most players do.

It's a form of discrimination solely based on nationality. Even if they're not living in Russia anymore, this is still attacking those people born as Russians.
I am sure the player meant "ban the IPs", the IPs of those players who are using BGA with a Russian/Belarusian IP.
I am sure the player didn't mean people who were born in Russia and who now live elsewhere.
And given the current situation (which is tense, as I am sure you have noticed yourself), I don't consider it to be an attack.
What I meant was that I am happy we managed to express our contradictory pieces of opinion, without getting to "mo*on" or "n*zi INSULT", "f*sc*st" or "co**unist INSULT" or any other thing, such as those.

For me, the discussions were civilised, constructive enough (we managed to see how others think), and given the current situation, I don't see them as attacks.
Well, on one hand people are asking to be able to exclude Ukranian players from late penalties(for obvious reasons, which I am not against, if it could be implemented in a fair way), but at the same time they ask for a ban(or temporary suspension) for all Russian based players, leading to them also racking up late penalties and have their karma plummet as well.
Even if they are Russians who do not agree with the actions of their own government, they get punished by BGA if this were to happen.

The sad thing is that nobody thinks 2 steps ahead, thinks about the implications on all parties involved.

You said you'd be ok with letting Putin play on the site, if he followed BGA rules. So please...

I have the impression you don't get yet, the gravity of the situation; nor the fact that sanctions when given, are given to affect a whole country.
No one has the mood or time, to select the ones anti-war, from all Russians, to exclude them from sanctions, when war is happening.

BGA offered a response on this; good day, Voriki.

Why are the Russian Players on here being attacked, did they start this war?

What a whole load of narrow-minded individuals.

A premium player (outside) has decided to terminate his/her account because ONE PLAYER here is constantly spreading hatred, launch cyber bullying, insults and discriminate other players who have a different opinion on this issue. Can we just please stop that player from making those aggressive comments on the forum?

I read this article before (more like an opinion column) which I think provides an interesting point of view.

https://www.elconfidencial.com/cultura/ ... n_3386523/

I also leave the link to its English translation via Google Translator.

https://www-elconfidencial-com.translat ... r_pto=wapp

In summary:
- economic blockades that cause the economic elites to force Putin to stop, good (bearing in mind that not only the Russians will suffer, all countries will suffer)
- blockages not economic but cultural, bad

Who? Who is that "ONE PLAYER" insulting, discriminating and spreading hatred and cyber bullying?

Anyone is free to leave the site, I don't understand why that other Premium player feels the need to announce it...

If you mean hasi, from above, I do not see how or when she was insulted, or discriminated, in this thread. Copy-Paste, please?
Both me and Vichy used a pretty decent amount of words, in my opinion.

And if you mean this post: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... =3&t=24740, I don't see anything referring to a specific ONE PLAYER, and I also don't understand where the "insulted, discriminated" come from...
It looked to me like she is the one not respecting the fact that others are not neutral on this.
