And just like that, your last shred of credibility is gone.

KongKing123, You give me a RED THUMB, I give you one in return too.

How do you think the Russian Players feel reading this?

Provide me with evidence that any Russian Player playing on this site has killed any Ukrainian.

You shouldn't get a red thumb, you should get a ban on the forum.

I find the comparison from above... between this war and COVID, as well as the use of "witch hunt"... offensive, to put it nicely.

Anyway, BGA already said it will react to this, and people came with more ideas than just ban.
I am not sure there is more to this, now.
So you have 'Each individual has the right to act as (s)he wants, so long as these actions do not harm others directly' as a signature, yet you find it necessary to red thumb me (my first ever here on BGA I think) just for having another opinion than you do. How hypocrite.

Yes, there have been sanctions. Various ones, for various reasons. Most of them I understand, and support. That doesn't mean that every sanction against Russian people (Russian players on BGA in this case) makes sense. In this case it doesn't, for the reasons mentioned in many posts here, including the one I quoted.

So you can go on and red thumb everyone that doesn't agree with you, or states things you don't agree with. But it just shows how closed minded you are.

I think this thread shows why it is a wise idea for this forum to be unpolitical.
Sorry to those who feel offended because i call war in ukraine "political" - in my opinion war is always "political". But that doesn't make it any less horrifying, it's just a matter of how you define "political" and we don't need to argue about definition of vocabulary.

We all want peace but we differ in our ideas of what we can do to help. I think it's a good idea for BGA to utilize it's wide international reach as a chance to inform. But beyond that - I think there are enough platforms on the internet to discuss the details more deeply.

EDIT: uff I wish my post wasn't after that last one... I really wouldn't wish to comment on that but: The ukrainians that massacred your relatives (what I am really sorry to hear) aren't the ones that are being massacred today. It's hard for me to hear your reasoning as a german. I have been called a Nazi before for being german. I'm ashamed for what germans have done in WW2. But it's not me and not anyone I am friends with. Please consider individual responsibility and sympathy.

With this post you showed what a mean man you are. I feel sorry for you.

Every Russian and Belarusian with whom I will be forced to play - I will inform you that his country is killing children and bombing civilian targets.
I am surprised that the Russians and Belarusians will not change the flag on the avatar, because every normal person would be ashamed to appear anywhere under the flag of murderers.

The Red Thumb is from ages ago, not recent... And I am sure you have more than 1, don't be modest. "I think" was wisely used.
Thanks for insulting me, though. I guess that "T.H.I.N.K" moral rule of yours, changed, as well.
I give Red, Green thumbs, extremely fast; I usually remove some of them, or even turn them 180 degrees. I am extremely shallow and emotionally volatile, regarding the thumbs.

The signature is from John Stuart Mill. I found it relevant at the moment I selected it, but I cannot see how having it, and Red Thumbing a player here, makes me the H word you used. I think of other things, social and political stuff (more specifically, SOME TYPES OF DISCRIMINATION), when I have that "On Liberty" line in mind.
The fact I RT players (like everyone does), doesn't mean that the RTed are taken the right to do as they want, as long as the actions do not harm others directly. I cannot see the hy*oc*isy, sorry.

For some people, even sanctions here make sense. I didn't see those players forcing their opinion on you, or threatening to quit BGA if BGA doesn't do what they say or whatever. It was a debate... And BGA answered.
I think that WITCH HUNT was not 100% correctly used here, because the sanctions are aware that they also hit people who disagree on the war, but that's not the logic behind them. That is why i used the (perhaps a bit exaggerated) "offensive".

Thanks again for the compliment... I was actually going to ask for your permission, before green or red thumbing any new player.
I don't know about "the compliment" you used, I think I am just anti-social to a lot of things. But that's not the subject of this post.
Goodbye.

Where did it happen and when?

Probably not at this age? The people who did this are already dead.

And in your opinion, the situation that happened almost 100 years ago (probably 80 years) justifies the murder of civilians today. And you still rejoice in it.
