I don't know why this behaviour is different between Arena and regular tables. In a regular table, all players must confirm in order to start the game once the table is assembled. In Arena, you can start a queue and have a very long queue, but if you step away or look away and the game starts while you are gone you will get timed out and force the other players to wait out the timer and then expel you, wasting everyone's time. This seems like it could be easily fixed if players had to confirm the game start.
I think it's not a good solution to just say "well you must be watching the queue the entire time". The queues for Arena for some games can be very long, and if you are even literally on a different tab and miss the notification or it doesn't trigger, you will end up timing out.
