How to go to alpha?

Post by TomFCG »

My first BGA game is ready for alpha, but the checklist says:

"If possible (meaning if there is not already a project with that name) copy your project to a new project matching exactly the name of the game (no prefix or suffix)."

How do I do this? I tried creating a new project with the name of the game and copying the files across, but of course this doesn't work with all the filenames, references, etc. still the old name. Now I can't remove the new folder. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You don't have to copy everything manually.

Open the new project, check 'Source code version control', then use 'Overwrite ThisProjectName with AnotherProjectName'.
Put the name of new project into ThisProjectName and old project to be copied in AnotherProjectName.
The system will handle the rest.
