Masterful manipulation but no. Nobody’s buying your russian propaganda. Russian ship, you know where to go.

Sorry but I think this response is not fair. (But I understand the reaction coming from someone personally affected.)

I'm not an expert in war or politics and I have no clue about how bad the attack on Iraq (or Yugoslavia) was in comparison to Russia's Invasion in Ukraine. But without a question there were horrible things going on in many other wars, too and it is true that many of those other attacks did not get the strong public response that it deserved at the time. Please don't call it "manipulation" to point out the neglect of an appropriate response on those US-led wars because it's legit to point that out.

I think one of the reasons why the response was lacking back then is, that the amount of pictures/videos (from everyone having a smart-phone) and intense use of social networks to spread those wasn't there at the time. So people didn't look close enough. Still there have been very big protests (without people getting arrested for protesting in the US).

But horrible things that happened in the past do in no way justify doing horrible things now. A lacking response earlier does not entitle Russia now to expect the same level of lacking response.

I'm just sick and tired of russian propaganda lies – Ukrainian Nazis (when Ukrainian president is a Jew), liberiating russian speaking people (Half destroyed Kharkiv is 90% russian speaking), biological weaponry and all the other delirious statements to justify their genocide of Ukrainian nation. Putinism has raised creatures far scarier than fascists. Many supporters of Hitler's fascism were horrified when they learned of the war, and cried when they learned the truth about the concentration camps. Putinists know the truth about war crimes and are genuinely happy for bringing misery to other people's lives. It’s ridiculous to believe that in internet era russians can’t find true info about what’s going on. Collective responsibility. Nothing more.

I understand that. But in most of those lies, there's a little bit of truth and those spreading these 90%-lies know about that little true thing. They don't spread lies on purpose, but because they believe in it. If you call their 90%-lies out as 100%-lies, then they know that YOU are lying and have no reason to believe your side but instead reject everything you say. If you want to convince someone, you need to let them have their 10%-truth and show them why the other 90% is wrong. If you say 100% is wrong, they will never listen.

And I think here you spread a 90%-lie as well btw. I think it is indeed very difficult to find enough information when you're in russia. I think they genuinly believe that there's more truth in the heavily censored and one-sided russian-TV than in the few bits of information that they can still access from outside of russia. So it's very important that they try to get more information from outside. Problem is: among that information from outside, there's so much of this 100%-lie-rhetoric that it is very difficult to see through. This rhetoric is not helpful.

Go and read «ordinary russian's» accounts in FB, Instagram or Twitter. Maybe it will open your eyes and change your way of thinking.
And no, it's not very difficult to find enough information when you're in russia. Use Telegram-channels and you'll know everything.

Finally a putinist here. I’ll be thankful if you westerners will succeed with providing him the true information about the horrible war. And explain him that he’s being lied to by his state TV and government, and his country’s army is actually committing all possible war crimes against the humanity in Ukraine.

Actually, it's just some French troll. Just as embarrassing, but still.
