Let me add some information about opinion polls.
First, I am absolutely sure that the results depend on the region or community in which the survey is conducted. I took a screenshot of a poll in a Telegram channel talking about Russia for Russians. https://imgur.com/WJNoVAd (Hope I used photo hosting correctly). The results are opposite. Further, in my area there are no personal vehicles with Z stickers. I have seen cars with an insane amount of stickers, but there were no Z among them. There is municipal public transport. There is it. In my personal environment, I would rate the ratio 40 to 60. And the people who supported the war in other times were not the most balanced.
Second, opinion polls are used as a means of propaganda. People tend to join the majority. And this property is used, showing which side the majority is on. For doubting people, there is a more subtle game. The results of state polling centers do little less than the results of "independent" centers. So "independent" inspire confidence and the results are presented as an axiom.

Adding to Mikhail's post, out of 100 respondents, 7 will say definetely yes for the war, 3 brave respondents will say no, and the rest 90 will pass out of fear. Here is your 70%. I also see the symbol only in public places, controlled by gov.

If only 40% supported the war in Russia, Putin's approval rating and government rating would have plummeted. This was not the case, the support of the government and Putin actually went up to 83%, since the war started: https://www.levada.ru/en/ratings/

Even if we accept that people are too scared to express their anti war position, how is it that large majority of them still support the person who started it? I suspect that the anti-war position for many Russians is much more amorphous, they oppose the war in principle, but who is responsible for them in another question.

But I still open the article and see a paradox. 64% are interested in the war in Ukraine and 35% are not interested at all. I assure you that in Russia all people over 8 years old are "interested" in this topic! Any conversation in any community always touches on this topic now. So, I've been scammed twice already. Can I now trust information from this source? Not!
And an addition - if someone repeats many times that he is supported by more than 80% of Russians, then this does not automatically become true. Lies all around. In war, truth is the first to die. If a politician, journalist, publicist and other figure opened his mouth and began to speak, then most likely he is lying.

Не знала, что в наше время есть страны, состоящие преимущественно с рабов и фашистов. Это черное пятно всего человечества. россию уже не признает весь мир, страна без будущего, которая будет расплачиватся за преступление сотни лет.

Сначала Херсонцы делали попытки организовывать митинги, но эти попытки присекли. В Новой Каховке пытались, результат такой же. Сейчас, когда появилась возможность работать, люди ходят на работу. Потому, что человеку нужно есть хотя бы два раза в день, для того, что бы он мог обеспечить едой своих детей, которые должны есть три раза в день. При этом все они ненавидят новую власть. К какой категории Вы их отнесёте? ... Жизнь сложнее чем кажется на первый взгляд.

I do advise you to edit your comment and remove the players ID, as mods do not like people to be called out on the forum(or most likely they'll edit your comment themselves). It's a player that's been here for a while, not a recent prankster account that'll be abandoned shortly.
